I am looking to buy cnc software that will support 4 axis machining. I am looking to do mostly complicated 3d work with pictures, and I have been looking to buy either Artcam pro or Aspire. Looking in all of the forums people seem to discuss most of the 2d to 2.5d features and benefits, but i would like to know which software has the best 3d modeling/machining features.
My cnc router is just a 3 axis router with a rotating attachment, so i guess it is 4 axis machining. I am going to be carving out pictures, sculptures, wall hangings, and other types of 3d signs. I have seem more about artcam pro as far as 3d modeling goes, but i would like some other opinions about what would be best. Thanks, Troy. Artcam pro cost 4x, but theres insignia with almost same features. (on some point more, on some point might less) that cost 2500 I personally using express 150, and all 2d toolpath, vcarving relief machining, possible to import all meshtype model for modeling I using silo3d and 3d coat. Silo 80 at this time, and 3d coat for home use 100 modeling with aspire or artcam pro, not what you going to learn quick.
To making a model of a human portrait will take you an about two year journey. If anyway get trough.
